Ansley Park is an affluent neighborhood located just east of Midtown and west of Piedmont Park. When Ansley Park was developed between 1905-1908, it was the first neighborhood in Atlanta designed for automobiles, featuring wide and winding roads rather than the grid pattern typical of older streetcar suburbs. The neighborhood covers 275 acres and has been designated a Historic District on theNational Register of Historic Places.
Since the 1960s, the Ansley Park Civic Association has worked hard to maintain the neighborhood’s historic feel and integrity. Many residents credit the Civic Association with maintaining the close-knit neighborhood’s strong sense of community
